THE AIR MUSEUM

The Palm Springs Air Museum is one-of-a-kind. Set on the Palm Springs Airport tarmac, with the San Jacinto mountains as a backdrop, this space showcases one of the world’s largest collections of flyable WWII planes and aircrafts from other eras. We’re fortunate to call this incredible venue our home. 

THE DESTINATION

Palm Springs is one of the most renowned getaways in the world. Known for its iconic mid-century modern architecture, desert scenery, and artistic flair, this sun-drenched destination is a haven for relaxation and exploration. 

LAYOVERS

Our Layover programming is a curated selection of daytime activities designed to spark your curiosity and creativity. We partner with local vendors, restaurants, and artisans to bring you the best of Palm Springs. Stay tuned for more details as we craft our offering.

THE ENVIRONMENT

Desert Air commissioned the visionary Belgian architecture collective Stand Van Zaken, Dutch for State of Play, to design a unique stage inspired by the Palm Springs Air Museum and Mid-Century Modern Architecture. Known for their ability to blend architecture with art, Stand Van Zaken will create a stage that harmonizes with the desert landscape, offering festival-goers an immersive experience that connects music, art, and place.

THE SURF CLUB

Your Desert Air wristband includes access to Day Drift, our day time outpost hosted at the Palm Springs Surf Club. Take in the waves and sunshine while enjoying resort-style amenities, a lazy river, and beverage and dining options. Expect sounds curated by Midnight Lovers, a record shop by Chapter One, creative and industry panels, and other pop-ups to be announced soon.

WARBIRD RIDES

For those in pursuit of elevated thrills, take flight on selection of seven iconic vintage aircrafts available at the Air Museum before the event. See the most captivating views of Palm Springs in some of the finest aircrafts to ever exist. Warbird Rides can be booked directly with the Air Museum HERE.

VISUAL ARTS

Desert Air will feature an immersive audio-visual installation by LA-based artist Lachlan Turczan. Known for his innovative work with light and sound, Turczan transforms natural phenomena into mesmerizing encounters. His installation will offer festival-goers a unique sensory experience, where the interplay of lasers and sound creates a constantly shifting, dreamlike environment.

RECORD SHOP

Take a piece of the music home with you at Chapter One records vinyl pop up. Chapter One aims to fuel what its founders see as a cultural renaissance aimed to revitalize Los Angeles’ nightlife. The collective aims to harness the bedrock cultural significance of vinyl to offer the world a look into the tenured Los Angeles scene.
